A bold and commanding ceramic panther in a classic prowling stance, drenched in a spectacular ox-blood flambé glaze.

The glaze is the star here - a deep, molten ox-blood red that glows with internal variation, darkening dramatically to a rich, glossy black at the paws and tail tip. This graduating effect, a hallmark of fine flambé reduction firing, gives the piece an almost jewel-like intensity that photographs well and captivates in person.

The modelling is exceptional. The panther is caught mid-stride in a low, purposeful prowl - weight forward, tail arched high - with beautifully observed musculature, a finely detailed face, and a fluid, dynamic silhouette. The quality of the casting and finishing is well above the ordinary; this is clearly the work of a skilled and confident maker, despite bearing no maker's mark.
